Books I’ve Recently Read
Books Read in 2008
Note: The following book list does not necessarily amount to either a recommended reading list or books with which I necessarily agree. In fact, my general reading strategy involves reading many things that I don’t agree with in order to more deeply understand my own beliefs, to shape and form them more clearly, and to understand the viewpoint of those with whom I may not, at first blush, agree. If you are interested in recommendations (these or other) feel free to contact me.
Here are some books that I’ve read recently:
- Reclaiming the Center: confronting evangelical accomodation in postmodern times ed. by Millard Erickson et al
- Christianity and the Postmodern Turn: six views by Myron B. Penner Editor (contributors include Douglas Gievett, R. Scott Smith, Kevin VanHoozer, John Franke, James KA Smith, and Merold Westphal)
- Gum, Geckos, and God by Jim Speigel
- Culture Matters: a call for consensus on Christian Cultural Engagement by T.M. Moore.
- Whose Afraid of Deconstruction by James KA Smith

- How to Be Evangelical without being Conservative by Roger Olson
